Question 5

What do I need to know about Christian Community Living?

Accepted Answer

Christian Community Living is a primary focus of this ministry. You are expected to participate in your house and community living. This means interacting with your housemates at more than just the weekly meetings. Each house will develop and maintain their own covenant and keep each other accountable to it or change it as needed. Each house has a house leader and they generally change every semester so that most students will get an opportunity to be a house leader. Our hope is that your housemates become your best friends, the first people you contact when you have a problem or need help. This means that you will need to spend time with your housemates for fun, sharing and caring.

Question 6

How much food will New Rev provide?

Accepted Answer

Sunday evening gatherings during the Fall and Spring Semesters will start with a home cooked delicious meal. Most of the time these will be served at the Wisteria house. Meals start at 6:00 and follow with a lesson and dessert. These events usually start promptly at 6:00 and end at 8:00 for those who have tight schedules. Others hang out before to help and after to help and fellowship. On your birthday week, you can request any kind of dessert you think Andrea can bake. All other meals and foods you will have on your own. There are full kitchens at every house with pots, pans, glasses, silverware, and dishes provided. You will need to provide your own food. There are flexible meal plans offered by UNT.
